For a period of time whilst resident in an adjoining village and having to eat out I frequented both the Restaurant and bar. With wonderful staff immediatly putting you at ease it was no surprise that the food was of an equally excellent standard and at a very reasonable price. In the morning I had a particularly vibrant love affair with the bacon and egg baguettes with trimmings with the evening in the Restaurant easily being made into a worthy occasion.Thoroughly recommended.

A great traditional, very friendly country pub serving real ale and good food.
Close to Shugborough Hall, River Trent and Canals, a fine watering hole when out walking !!!!
